ACPE Privacy Policy

- PURPOSE - ACPE Federal Credit Union is committed to making available financial products and services that will enable the credit union to meet the financial needs of its members and assist them in reaching their financial goals. Protecting personal information and using it in a manner consistent with member expectations is a high priority for everyone associated with ACPE Federal Credit Union.
ACPE’s goal is to protect and maintain member trust and confidence when handling personal information.
- PRIVACY STANDARDS - To ensure members can rely upon the quality of services ACPE Federal Credit Union makes available, the credit union has approved the following privacy policies:
- ACPE Federal Credit Union will collect only the personal information that is necessary to conduct its business and is required by law. That means only what is necessary to provide our services -- no more.
- ACPE Federal Credit Union will protect all personal information. The credit union will maintain security controls to ensure member information in ACPE’s files and computers are protected. Where appropriate, the credit union will use security-coding techniques to protect against unauthorized access to personal records, ensure accuracy and integrity of communications and transactions, and protect member confidentiality.
Employees will be trained in the proper handling of personal information and when other companies are used to provide necessary services for ACPE, those companies will be required to protect the confidentiality of the personal information they receive from ACPE.
- Members of ACPE Federal Credit Union will always have the opportunity to review their information and make necessary changes to ensure their records are complete and accurate.
- ACPE will only share information to administer the products and services provided, when required to do so by the government, court order, legal process, when necessary to transact or conduct normal business or when necessary to protect against fraud or unauthorized transactions.
- ACPE Federal Credit Union will not sell nor provide information in any way to telemarketing firms or non-partnered businesses. Each member will be advised on the Privacy Policy at the time of opening an account and each year thereafter.
F. ACPE discloses information we collect, as permitted by law, to credit union service providers (if applicable), or other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements; other affiliates to help us administer our business or provide product information to you; and other third parties, but only to administer products and services you obtain from us, conduct our business, (as when we obtain marketing or data processing services) or when legally required.
- ACPE Federal Credit Union may provide the names, addresses, and/or phone numbers of Board members to credit union members, only with an individual Board member’s written permission.
- ACPEFCU will provide its members with a annual “Privacy Notice” and The “Notice” will be posted on the credit union’s web site. NCUA has provided language with their privacy regulation that should be covered in this disclosure. Further, NCUA has provided a model privacy notice and stated that the “safe harbor” protections may not apply if the model notice or a similar notice is not used. ACPEFCU will use the model notice and a copy is attached hereto.
Important information about Credit Reporting:
We may report information about your account to credit bureaus. Late payments, missed payments or other defaults on your account may be reflected in your credit report.
